Joining
Can I attend a meeting to see if I enjoy it?
Yes, when you first start in any of our sections you will have a period of at least 6 weeks to decide if you like want to become a full member and become invested into the group.
What uniform do I need to buy?
Before you are invested you do not need to buy any uniform, when you are a member you will need at least either a sweatshirt for Beavers and Cubs or a shirt for Scouts. Polo shirts, fleeces and trousers are available but these are optional.
Is there a joining fee?
Yes, we as for a £10 joining fee to pay for the neckerchief, badges and books.
What are the subs?
£25 per term payable in September, January and after Easter.
Is there assistance is we can’t afford the subs?
Yes, there is support available from the Scout Association. It will be dealt with in confidence. The Scout Association is an inclusive organisation and no one should be denied access due to hardship. We are all aware how tough things are at the moment.
